yet another confirmation that I am a dork

So I find myself entirely amused by hummingbirds. Is that odd? Maybe it's just a fascination because I had never really seen them growing up, and I don't remember them ever being at a zoo or anything, so the idea that they live around my house is amusing

thats not dorky, i think it's cool. (ok maybe it's dorky then b/c i'm a bio dork) but on a related note i'm in charge of redoing the humming bird/butterfly garden at the sanctuary so i've been doing a lot of research on native plants that attract them. so if you want to know more about plants for them let me know.

Ha, well, with the plants I'm not so good. I'd love to say that I can get them and plant them...but they'll probably die. Have you seen the hostas out front that we planted? Those are supposed to be indestructable...and they look so sad!

With the birds I just have to feed them...and if it's not good enough they'll go off and find some bugs! No pressure there. :)

It's either the hummingbirds or I can tell you about my brilliant grad school presentation on the similarities and differences of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs. Given the choice...I'd rather be making a power point on hummingbirds. Way cooler pictures ;)
