Okay, so here is my list of all of the Pokemon cards I currently have. I have been starting to play regularly and I'd like to continue to do so, so for the most part I'll probably be looking for cards to round out my decks (I'm not playing competitively/officially... at least not yet. I don't know much about sets but I have a rather large collection of cards from Diamon/Pearl. I'm not even sure how to know which card is which because the Pokémon carry over into the other sets and such. I started collecting them randomly and didn't end up playing.

You can look on the bottom right hand corner of the hard and there should be a number there and a symbol (on the newer cards, like from D&P). For instance, 15/123 or something would be what card number it is out of how many are in the set. The little simple corresponds to WHAT set it is, and you can find a list of those on like Bulbapedia or here: http://serebii.net/card/english.shtml
