In the end, of course, I got stuck. No buses, no through way anywhere. Plenty of ( Read more... )

You do pick your time to get stuck :-) Did you get any confetti? Laughter from this side of the water. We bought a saw yesterday so we've chopped wood all day. We did it under a tarpaulin so I guess we got it all and you none of it, the British weather I mean. When is the next parade or festival?

Yep, some confetti stuck on my coat. Aren't I good doing re-con for your visit? There's something in May 2007, http://www.visitgaymanchester.com/lgbt/queerupnorth.shtml. Even as I was just passing by, before I got stuck, I was so so happy to see how much of an every-man's festival the parade here was. A generation of kids growing up to associate being gay with getting to wave a colourful flag and wearing bunny ears for fun must signify a step forwards!
