Thank you, Dipsas. I needed to hear that. I've been lumped in with the Bushies in several e-mails from European friends, and it is good to know that some of the other folks in the world know that we don;t all support Bush or his vision of America.

The last few weeks I've been amazed at the commitment and thoughtfulness shown in many political posts in various journals, posts by yourself, by Chrysantha, by Fernwithy and others...

In my original post, I didn't mean to refer only to LJ material, but fact remains that your posts have made a huge difference in how I, as an outsider from the north of Europe, perceive the US. Especially today.

To those of you (many, I know) who wished and voted for the US to choose another path than that of Bush, know at least that you too have made your voices heard around the world.

In my own case, those voices have made every bit as deep an impression on my image of America as has the eventual outcome of the elections.
