It's just been one of those days.
I go in early to work to help clean up the clearance section, only to be told that we were going to have to go through it all again tomorrow when they bring the prices down so we can hopefully get rid of some of that garbage, and then had a screaming match with my mother over a goddamn coupon misinterpretation when I got home.
I did buy a load of stuff for my Vampire Hunter D cosplay, though, which was awesome (Thank you 25% off the purchace coupon). I even got another lunchbox to decorate like the black one I have. I spent about half an hour dressing it up and making it look awesome... and the metal tab that flips up to hold the lid closed breaks.
Just. My fucking. Luck.
I can't return it because I've already decorated it and every time I managed to fix it one little flip of the tab and it pries itself open again and won't hold the lid closed. Nor am I going to spend all that time and money again (Because I'll have to spend more), nor is the base color I wanted in stock anymore (It's a seasonal item from our summer wave, we're not getting them in anymore)
I've put in an inqury somewhere to see if anyone knows how to fix it, if it can be fixed, and any help from you guys would be appreciated. I figure, as a last resort, I'll just rip the whole thing off, fix it, epoxy it and then metal glue it back into place... but I really don't want to do that...
In other news:
*Still no word on my Minimee head, it's been almost two months now. I suppose that's what it takes for something custom... I'm just so antsy! I'm reluctant to send a message asking about progress because I'm sure they're busy over there. I was having problems e-mailing Denny; the e-mails kept bouncing back to me and I had to message him in DoA.
*The Vampire Hunter D costume is coming along nicely, I've decided instead of making the top attatch to the leggings I'm going to find a pattern for a long-sleeves leotard and just wear the leggings over them, the belt part will cover the seam in between.
*I think I may have found a better head for Jabou'. http://www.featherfall.ca/store/images/yue-3.jpg I don't know how it would look on the Dollshe body (I'm not a fan of the DZ 70cm bodies), but that expression and structure is beautiful, it really looks like how I wanted him to look. I'd just need to open the eyes a little bit. Hhhm.. something to think about later..
