DADT

A friend of mine reminded me that several conservative individuals and groups continue to make the argument that we can't repeal DADT because doing so would be using our military as a social experiment. Like so many other arguments used to try and derail this socially progressive and just repeal of a draconian law, this argument is entirely devoid ( Read more... )

It's not just that they allow open service, but that it also has been going well. If you haven't read the '93 study from the RAND Corporation, it makes for some nice ammunition :-)
