Also, you should find a rooftop apartment and take photos of the freeway while sipping on virgin daiquiris and eating something that goes good with virgin daiquiris. It sounds so deliciously funny.

Agreed! There are plans to build a light rail line that parallels that stretch of the 405... it's currently planned to be built by somewhere around 2036.

I'd be tempted to take the $4 flight between Burbank and Long Beach just for the sheer novelty. Then again, LA being what it is, you'd be stuck getting anywhere else on either end without a car.
