How is Lucy? I love her. She was on American Juniors and she basically one (made it into the group) and then she is the only one who is still doing stuff today. Love her! how is she on the show?

Lucy is cute...pretty...I don't know. I just can't get past the bad script so she might be really good...the material just sucks.

Now, I've never seen the British soap, "Eastenders" but if British soap actors anything like US soap actors...it might just be bad acting.

Heh, not quite. I mean, we do have a LOT of bad actors on our soaps, but the bad acting on British soaps is a completely different type of bad acting to the bad acting on US soaps. I don't really know how to explain it.

Michelle Ryan was okay on EastEnders. Not great, not terrible. But I was surprised to hear being cast on a show like this because I never for a second thought she had the presence to anchor a show by herself.

Haha. OK. Fair enough. I know there are a lot actresses/singers that got their start on Eastenders...there aren't too many US soap actors that do anything past the soap...I mean a lot of US soaps have the same actors playing the same characters for 5 plus years! Some are really old now...50s 60s! It's kind of funny.

BTW...is that Billie Piper in your avatar? I wish she would do some more music! I was listening to her recently :-) What's she up to!?

I probably haven't seen enough US soaps to analyse properly, but I'd say the chief difference is that bad actors in US soaps tend to overact, while the bad actors on UK soaps tend to underact. There are people on Hollyoaks who I swear must be barely conscious. (Look it up on YouTube if you're feeling brave. Especially Hannah Tointon and Nathalie Emanuel, they're dreadful.)

Billie Piper's a busy lady these days, too busy for pop. After she left Doctor Who, she's played Sally Lockhart in The Ruby in the Smoke for the BBC, played an Austen heroine (I forget which) for ITV and is currently starring as infamous blogging hooker Belle de Jour for an ITV2 drama.

Sigh. I guess I'll always have "Honey to the Bee." Or whatever it's called :-) I rented the first disc and second disc of "Dr. Who" and I found it really boring! I don't know! I love many UK shows (MI-5 for instance) but I couldn't get through the entire season of "Dr. Who"! What's wrong with me!?
