I had a random encounter with one of my exes the other day. I didn't mind this much as my thoughts on him are concrete, and I know that if he said anything inappropriate, I could tell him to fuck off and not give a thought to the consequences. K is back in the area, and I'm terrified for whatever reason of running into him. My feelings towards him

You were together for a while, too - it takes longer to figure out your emotions and fully "get over" him (for lack of a better term). In my opinion, mixed emotions (even 4.5 months later) are perfectly understandable...almost expected. Plus if you were close for a long time, too - it could be the familiarity of the relationship; who knows. Anyway, it will probably take a little while before you're emotionally ready for someone new - that's up to you.
