After I had a rake in hand or busted concrete from the old wash-tub, half a days yard work and clean up ended in a BBQ, quality company, and cool drinks in near perfect weather: 20 degrees on the back patio.  B came for some of the labor T had popped by for a hello and took over the BBQ of meaty goodness. End that day hammering together cheap IKEA

You sound like you're in a really good place, sir. It's nice to hear.

Good luck on the teaching job applications. With your academic/real work experience, they'd be nuts not to give you a gig.
