Well, I have real bangs now.  Whoopty doo... my fake ones looked so much better.  They are doing this awful wave thing and they're so poofy and big.  Not to mention they keep trying to seperate down the middle due to my part.  Ack.  I think my hairdresser didn't cut enough hair too, since they are kinda dinky and stupid looking.  Or maybe I wasn't ( Read more... )

Ah.... I remember when I used to straighten my hair. It took anywhere from 2 to 4 hours and I had to use a household iron to actually 'straighten' anything. And I'm a klutz, so you can imagine all the burns I had. Yeah, I think my hair is a spawn from hell. Hence why so much of it isn't mine. lol :p

She used a round brush and a blow dryer, the results were scary. I should of warned her that blow dryers + my hair is a recipe for disaster. That and I don't think I like how they are cut. I'll post pictures this weekend so you guys can give me more opinions on them.

You! you had FAKE BANGS!!! ...I cut my bangs because I liked yours so much.

Oh, and mine did the same thing. If you take a wee bit of olive oil and rub it through them and then use some type of heat device (curling iron...) on it, it will probably look all shiny and smooth...as mine did.

But I'm sorry...I know how terrible it is when something had happens to your hair.

Awww, yeah I'm a big fakey fake. I haven't seen your new bangs yet, I bet they are uber cute. I don't know if I'll try the olive oil thing, my hair is greasy enough as it is lol. So far my big purple can of unscented Aqua Net (my obsession) is doing well. I should have a method down by the end of the week.

Actually, if you don't use too much of the olive oil it doesn't make it oily/greasy/stringy, at all. I was surprised too.

And whenever you get it down I'd like to see.

I have an icon with the bangs... but then I cut them about another inch last night... looking back on it, I wouldn't have cut them at all.

when i first cut bangs after not having them for a while i got a teeny round brush at sallys and would blow dry them with that, and i had one of those teensy curling irons too. after it got used to it they behaved themselves

i still have weeks where my bangs are bad, then i grow them out for a month and cut them again and they are fine

I got the teeny curling iron, and it just makes them into this big row of tightly curled crap, lol. I also tried my huge ass curling iron on them, and that just stuck them striaight out. I saw a medium size curling iron with a round brush built in to it at Walmart that I'm going to buy today. That will help stop me from burning my forehead too. I can't wait until these things are trained. I keep waking up in the morning with them sticking straight up in the air. Jesse is going to laugh so hard the next time he sleeps over. :p

i had no idea ever that your bangs were not real.

mine sorta did that thing when i first cut them. i just put a bunch of mousse in there and blow-dried them with a fine-tooth comb.

Yeah, not too many people know that 80% of my hair is fake. I'm working on making it all real, now that I found a style I like. :p

Mousse, hairspray, and even water just helps them seperate down the center even more. I've been hairspraying them and then brushing out the hairspray after it dried so they have some shape.
