Off work today with a minging head...not good since I am meant to be seeing Lou Reed tonight at the Bridgewater Hall. Am sooo hoping that it will subside in time...don't think I will cope with LOUD amps etc atm. Fingers crossed! Plus I hope that if I do go then no one else from work likes Lou Reed and bumps into me!! That won't really go down too ( Read more... )

If previous experience is anything to go by, Mr Reed will likely blast your 'minging head' right out a replace it with sensual distortion (in a good way). All makes for an eventual perfect day!

Coincidentally, I am at the Bridgewater next Monday seeing the other half of 'Simon &'. Lovely hall.

Considered me well and truly blasted! Partially deaf and mute from the volume and the cheering!! But it was much fun and very FUNKY!

Have a good time next week!! It is a lovely venue, seemed a bit of a strange one for Lou Reed to play...but hey ho! At least I could see him from where we were sat, in the centre circle row M.

Btw, I've heard the new Paul Simon track (Father and Daughter) on radio 2 recently and I am v impressed - nice and calming whilst I am at work :)

Good to hear from you x

Yes, the venue does seem a little odd for Lou Reed given the usual type of music they put on there, but I imagine the acoustics of the building held up well. Do you think it is true that there is 'not a bad seat in the house'?

My Art Garfunkel concert will likely be a little less of a sonic boom, but nontheless just as enjoyable.

I am glad the radio is playing stuff from Simon's new album. It's quite a good listen if you get the chance.

Keep safe. :)

The seating positions that I could see from my seat looked well thought out! :) My seat was good, especially since it was the aisle and left me with huugggee leg room.

Will have to give the new album a go. I am getting into all sorts of middle of the road stuff after listening to Radio 2...the added bonus is that they play A-ha regularly and tracks from their recent Album - Analogue. That's also a good listen if you get the chance...but being a die-hard fan I am somewhat biased!! I've entered a competition to win tickets to Guilfest where they're headlining...oh god I so have to go...might just have to splash out on a ticket if I don't win!! After seeing em live last year, I just can't get enough...ah an A-ha ramble - do excuse me :D
