I was browsing through the prompts for verbosemofo 's Star Trek genderswap ficathon and wasn't feeling much like writing, but when I came across the prompt "Jamie Kirk in glasses" I really felt like drawing it. Dunno if art is allowed, but here it is:

Uh... ok, this looks disturbingly like the real me. Except my hair is shorter, and cut round the ears. Very interesting... nice effort! (Seriously, is your Jamie an academic like Uhura? Or more of a happy go lucky tomboy foolin' around?)

The prompt was just for glasses, so I didn't have anything in particular in mind, but I figured she just enjoys literature, like the male Jim Kirk we all know and love. I don't think the female Kirk would be a tomboy though - she'd totally be in touch with her sexuality, although she'd still be good in a fight when it came to it.

And I know I'm a terrible person when it comes to roleplays - I've been feeling kind of writers-block-y in general and it seems like too much effort to catch up with a roleplay. This has happened to me before, and even if I catch up with it now I'll probably be all flaky again in the future... your best bet is to replace me, or continue with just Spock and McCoy. I'm really sorry -_-

Mmmm, I definitely get that TOS!Kirk liked reading. The new guy though seems to like riding around on a motorbike too much to settle down for a good read... but that's just my reading.

Oh, and hey that's ok. I figured something as such might be up - that's fine. I hated feeling like I was pestering you too much for a moment there. If you ever want to roleplay again just give me a message, I'd be happy to collaborate with you again in any way in this fandom ;)

Well, movie!Kirk is quite a bit younger than TOS!Kirk, so I guess he likes motorbikes and hanging off cliffs more than he likes reading right now. Things'll change when he's older.

And you had every right to pester me - I always feel guilty about letting fellow roleplayers down. I'm a lazy person in general, and there are times when I really don't feel like writing. It was nice roleplaying with you for a while though ^___^

I had to give her the skirt uniform - I was thinking a while ago about what would happen if Kirk was trapped as a female for a definite period of time (say, a year). He'd keep his name, but figure it would be easier for everyone to use the female pronoun, and he'd totally embrace the perks of being a woman.
This picture is of a Kirk who has always been female, but even so - she's more than a version of Jim with breasts, she's a female Jim, and Jim is very in tune with his sexuality and knows how to use his looks to his advantage. Jamie's got the legs, she ain't gonna hide 'em ;)
