Why Adam Lambert did not win American Idol: Potential reasons...
Ok, so I've been rather annoyed since the end of American Idol (whatever season it was) because everyone is whining about how Adam Lambert didn't win, so I've decided to make a definitive list of all the possible reasons why such a thing could possibly have happened, and then reflect on the probability of them all.
01) One reason why people may have not voted for Adam is that some people do not like Adam. Regardless of what some people may think, and as impossible as this may seem to some, everyone is not in love with Adam.
02) Many people who vote on AI, vote for the people who they find attractive. Adam is not attractive, some people think he is, but I mean ewwww! His cigarette damaged skin alone makes me want to hurl. Kris, meanwhile has a cute puppy dog type charm.
03) Adam caterwauls, screeches, flicks his tongue, moans, and is overdramatic. Now some people apparently think this makes for good entertainment, but I'm betting a bunch more do not. Kris, meanwhile dooes none of the aforementioned things. He just sings nicely.
04) Adam, as far as I know, does not play any instruments. Kris plays both guitar and piano well, talk about talent, and afterall AI is a talent show, right.?
05) Partly due to his ability to play different instruments, and thus change up his performances, Kris is versatile. He is able to sing many different styles and in an assortment of genres. Adam, on the other hand is not versatile. The only thing he has going for him is his theatrical moaning, screeching, and fake-crying. I'm sorry, but one trick ponies don't do it for me.
06) Kris is suited for a record contract with AI, as well as for life after the show. What would the AI producers have done with Adam, honestly? And just recently Adam said that he doesn't like some song he recorded during the show and wishes that it weren't being released.
07) The type of music that Kris excells at is the type of music that is extremely popular right now. He has the ability to appear sincere and genuine similar to artists like Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.
08) Adam didn't win because people didn't vote for him. Aside from the people who dislike him, people didn't vote for Adam because they like to publicly "love" Adam, but don't actually like him enough to vote for him. Liking Adam is the cool thing to do, so lots of people do it just for show, but they're not prepared to actually do anything to support him because when push comes to shove they don't actually care. Kris fans meanwhile were a little more manic and genuine.
09) People did not vote for Adam because they were complacent. Everyone assumed Adam was going to win, so nobody voted. They didn't think they needed to because they expected everyone else to. Adam was a fan favourite from the begining, and the judges doted on him whilst putting Kris down constantly. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that that made Kris fans frantic and Adam fans complacent.
10) Adam is gay.... Riiiiiiiight. Apparently this is supposed to be THE reason that Adam lost, but I don't know it seems a little farfetched to me. I mean hey, maybe it's because I'm Canadian, from Montreal, vote liberal, and am part of the younger generation, so I'm just naive, but come on! I don't know I just don't think people are that retarded or care that much to make someone lose on account of who they like to fool around with.
11) Second to last possible reason why Adam did not win, and my personal favourite... Adam sucks! I think so anyway.
12) And finally the last potential reason for why Adam didn't win, and probably the one that makes the most sense.... Adam did not win, because Kris did. No brainer, huh?
