My family are joining the 20th century finally and having double glazing fitted. I always wanted this, so i could open my window far enough to climb out (i live in a bungalow) and run off during the night to drink and smoke under bridges. I didn't need this luxury, as my parents were always pretty fine about my returning home at all hours totally

I feel you on the window thing. Though mine pointed out I would be better just attempting to get out the front door without them noticing (or carin) since the house is on a hill. Of whic my bedroom was at the bottom end of that hill. It had a high potential of a broken leg :(
