Supposedly I was going to enjoy a nice dinner with a friend who was a stray for Thanksgiving. Thankfully I got a hint that she might renege due to her tone and some noncommittal answerers. So I managed my turkey day alone with my kitty and getting some much needed rest

Dude, I totally know how you feel. My entire first year and a half here were... well, totally miserable. Sure, there were good points, but most of it was just shittastic.

I wish I could tell you how to fix it, but I'm really not even sure if I know how I changed things for myself.
