The Karate Kid is on American Movie Classics now. This is one of the best movies ever, and don't even try to argue with me.

And I sat up and watched it again last night. The DVD is out of print and is going for almost 200 dollars on Amazon used. I thought I saw it when I was at Best Buy, but maybe it was part 2. Ralph M still hasn't aged all that much. I'm just amazed by that.

I used to watch Karate Kid over and over as a child. I loved when it came on TV; I'd time my bathroom breaks exact with the commercial breaks.

What's that song that goes "I am the man who will fight for your honor..."? Now THAT song I truly love, as well as "Everything I Do (I'd Do It For You)" from the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves soundtrack (I heard it at the dentist yesterday... my iPod battery was low). The Brandy remake will never hold a candle to Bryan Adams version. No matter how 'gritty' her alto voice is.
