First half of the day--I set dates to get my plans in order, grilled uni profs. who had no real reasons to answer my un-school related questions, but who kindly didn't run away. I wish comply were an acceptable word to use when making requests. That's so American of me

Went to a museum in Tokyo a bit ago. Japanese women used to not only give birth standing (maybe sitting?), but were also required to remain upright after the birth, a requirement that often 'ruined their health permanently'.

Hmm...maybe this could be some kind of 3rd world birthcontroll...go give 'em all white noses, and then they won't breed as much.*
