I thought it was a self-defense book but it turned out to be Kama Sutra

...that mugger didn't know what hit him. He still calls.

Roomie!Sam and I went to Twilight on Saturday. I was disappointed but I didn't actually expect to like it at all.

The side characters were really funny and charming, especially Bella's father. They provided a nice comic relief in subtle ways that I enjoyed. However, every scene Bella and Edward had together made me want to fast forward. I can't lie, I would have liked it so much more without the big, epic love story and big, epic love stories are sort of my thing! All I could think  was TEENAGERS DO NOT TALK LIKE THAT! I know Edward isn't really a teenager but Bella is. Teenagers are dumb and mean and let go of good things because they're scared. Trust me, *points to self* teenage girl. So, Bella was just overdone. Edward was creepy. Seriously, "sometimes I come into your room and watch you sleep." That's not romance, that's stalking.

The biggest problem I had though was the fact that it was a vampire movie AND THEY DIDN'T SHOW ANY FANGS! wtf? That's the best thing about vampire movies is that one cheesy, overdone fang shot.

Another thing I really liked were the little music montages. I like artsy looking shit and this pretty much covered it. They music itself was good too. It was weird and unexpected and I liked it a lot. Of course, Sam called the montages replacements for actual character development. Which, hey, I can kind of agree with because they were all done during  Bella and Edward's scenes.

So, overall, it was okay. It was about what I expected. I hated the books anyway. The story is good, Stephanie Meyers writes like a preteen girl. This is like that bad, twisting romance story that teen writers start off doing then shove in the back of the closet because it's sooooooo bad. I have one of those, I would never drag it out and publish it.

No really, I'm done now.
