When Ginny pried her eyes open, she could tell that she had been moved. She was redressed and in a made bed, and it was quiet, save for the jingle of keys. She could see a looming shadow outside of the door and she panicked. It was probably Alecto, coming back. No matter if she fancied him or not, she was not going to stay there. But, she was still afraid of running into a dead end. She jumped that chance, however. Pushing herself up, she ran away from the door and surprisingly, there was a back door. She opened it at the same time that the front door opened.

--

Alecto had not expected Ginny to be awake. "Damnit," he called, realising that she had gotten up and wandered off and possibly away. Moving back towards the rear of the house, he spotted the door open. It was the door downstairs to the cellar. It would take a lot of prying for the girl to find the trapdoor at the bottom and she had no idea where it let out. He laughed.

--

Ginny frantically met the bottom of the stairs and was disappointed to not see outside. She looked around. Damnit she thought, there has to be some way out of here! And angrily, it seemed, she began stomping her foot into the floor. And finally, much to Ginny's happiness, she found a hollow resonation. At that time, Alecto had reached her.

She shrieked. It must have thrown him off, because he jumped slightly and that gave her the two second edge she needed to open the door and jump. She didn't look, but as soon as she collided, she wished she had let Alecto capture her. Ginny was surrounded by water. And faintly, she noted that the trapdoor was being closed.

It was dark and water was pushing at her mouth, but she pushed herself forward. The house couldn't be built this way. There had to be water around land. There was land and she would find it. But she made her mistake by not looking. If she had looked before she jumped, she could have taken a breath. However, she didn't and her lungs were at breaking point.

When her mouth opened unconsciously, she sucked in a large amount of water. Her mind panicked. Ginny panicked. Frantically, she swam, towards any direction. The only thing that was sure was that she was swimming away from the trapdoor. She saw light and then, darkness fell.

Draco Malfoy was on vacation. He had decided to take a vacation without his fiance, and now he strolled through the mountains of Scotland. His cabin was up the hill from a large mountain pass and another house on the lake that an old friend of the family's lived in. He knew that the man had been bringing girls down there and he wouldn't be surprised to see them.

However, he was surprised to see one floating in the lake. Thinking quickly, he waded into the lake and pulled the girl toward him, resting her head against the shore, and pumping the water out of her chest. She was not yet blue in lack of air, so she was recently dumped here. The last pump that Draco was willing to give rendered no response. The red-cheeked, bright haired girl lay there in no motion.

And then, like she had just been given the ability to move, she spluttered up water. A lot of it. Coughing and choking it up, even some blood, she wiped her eyes and looked up. He would have screamed if he had found it appropriate. Ginny Weasley, red hair and freckles, lay in front of him, soaking wet and red in the face.

"Malfoy?" She questioned, gathering herself and standing up. "What are you doing here?"

"No," He said, "no, no, no. What are you doing here? I didn't know weasels lived in the mountains." His snark was still evident. He thought disgustingly, had I known it to be her, I would have left her there.

Ginny glared and walked up hill a bit. "Where the hell are you going, girl?" Draco cried out after her, stalking up beside her and grabbed her arm. She shrieked and he stumbled, falling away from her.

"That hurt," she said, rubbing her arm. Carrow had grabbed her there roughly, and it still was bruised. He rolled his eyes. "I expected that." He turned out to the landscape, not to Ginny, but spoke. "My cabin is a ways from here. You should probably--"

"Go home." She finished angrily, her arms stilly crossed, and moving steadily up hill. "Fucking Carrow...how the hell he dragged me here, I don't know."

"Carrow?" The blonde echoed, stuffing one of his hands into his pocket and pulling Ginny to walk faster with the other hand. "You mean Alecto Carrow?"

"Ow, damnit!" Ginny said, yanking her arm from his and taking a quicker pace. "And yes, Alecto fucking Carrow. You know him or something?"

Draco laughed. "Oh, it's funny, right?" She said angrily, walking ahead.

"Oy, you'll get lost again, Weasley!" She pouted, but continued walking. Draco jogged until he caught up to her.

He laughed quietly. "It's just...Carrow's only brought pretty girls up here." He knew it was the absolute worse time to act this way to her, after she had nearly drowned, but it's not like she bothered to thank him for saving her.

"Fuck you, Malfoy," Ginny said, turning to face him. Her hair whipped around her and he was almost scared by the fire in her eyes. "I don't need you here discouraging me."

"Hey," he called, after the redheaded girl continued walking, "sorry, okay? You'll get lost if you keep wandering."

Ginny continued walking, pulling her fingers through her hair and mindlessly pulling it into a knot at the nape of her neck. "What do you care for it?" Draco huffed and caught her hand gently. She stopped.

"You'll be willing to die in the mountains than return to your perfect life and wedding?"

"And what is that over," she asked, "staying with pond scum?" She turned. "I don't need sympathy, Malfoy."

"You're right. You need help." And with that, he pulled Ginny towards his cabin. "Just come on, damnit. I'm not trying to argue with you."

Ginny rolled her eyes, but complied. At least I'll be safe for now.
