20 Random Facts about Blaise Zabini and Ginny Weasley
1. After exiting the train in her third year, Ginny Weasley was ‘accidentally’ tripped by Blaise Zabini. This resulted in a bout in which Ginny harped on Blaise’s mother. Blaise brings up this argument almost every time he sees her, but has personally never spilled the information to his mother, most of which was true.
2. Once having to serve a detention the same time as her, Blaise ended up writing a list of reasons that Ginny could not be trusted with a sponge or bucket of water. (Blaise got an Acceptable on that paper) In retaliation, Ginny had to write a list of reasons why she could not resist using said sponge or bucket against Blaise. (This list, however, got an Outstanding and Blaise later threw a wet sponge at her)
3. During one of the Slytherin and Gryffindor scrimmages, Ginny slammed a Quaffle into the back of Blaise’s head. He swears that the mark is still there and taunted Ginny afterward to “kiss him and make it feel better.”
4. In her fourth year, Ginny recalled him catching her in an empty hallway. He had kissed her briefly, something about hiding from Millicent Bulstrode, and run off. Millicent had captured this scene and almost throttled the younger Weasley girl. Ginny guessed that Millicent liked him.
5. After she had threatened to hex him at one of Slughorn’s meetings, he later got his revenge by stealing her wand from her in the hallway. However, Ginny played nice for a bit and ended up getting her wand back. This playing nice attracted the two of them together unofficially.
6. For Ginny’s birthday, Blaise decided he would send her enchanted roses. He enlisted in the help of Millicent, whom was under the impression that they were for her. When a week had past and Millicent received no roses, she sent Ginny a howler and tracked down Blaise at his summer home. It turned out that Ginny was there with him.
7. Blaise still hasn’t heard from Millicent, even to this day.
8. In a daunting argument of theirs, Blaise called Ginny a whore. She charmed soap into his mouth and refused to talk to him afterwards.
9. After a bath with said soap and a couple of tickle fights, Ginny felt better.
10. The feeling didn’t last very long as Blaise’s mother intruded with news of Blaise’s former fiancé being pregnant. This could not be cured with anything in Ginny’s eyes and she completely left him. Diana, Blaise’s ex-fiancé insisted that either Blaise take the child for his own or he married her and they took care of it together. Having no motive to want to raise it by himself, he married Diana.
11. Brianna, the little girl of Blaise and Diana’s, was born on August 11th. Blaise vaguely recalled this to Diana as being Ginny’s birthday, but not a big deal to upset her into an argument. But, Diana accused Blaise of still loving Ginny about a week after Brianna’s first birthday. Blaise didn’t deny it but proved that Ginny did not want Brianna in her life.
12. Unknowing to Blaise, Diana visited Ginny one day, bringing Brianna along. The two talked for a while until Ginny confessed that she had always been in love with Blaise but did not like that he had never told her he had been arranged into a marriage. She also explained her feelings about Brianna.
13. Still in the dark, Blaise was shocked when Diana presented him with divorce papers. She told him that he would understand what she was doing soon, but that she had given Brianna into someone else’s custody. She refused to tell Blaise who it was. Blaise broke contact with Diana after she moved out of their home and started a new life. He became a Healer under the training of his close friend, Theodore Nott.
14. Days before Brianna’s birthday, Blaise received a letter. It explained that he would be able to meet with Brianna and her new guardian on the girl’s birthday and it would remain this way unless changed by her guardian. On Brianna’s birthday, Blaise opened the door to be put face to face with Ginny. He would have cried had not she been holding Brianna in her arms. After he invited her in, she told him all about Diana’s visit and what they had talked about. He apologized for not revealing his engagement and then took the two birthday girls out to dinner.
15. Although they’re married, Ginny still refuses to take Blaise’s surname in her Auror’s field. Brianna is amused by her parents’ antics and wonders how they’ve dealt with each other long enough to have another child. Grant is too young to understand his parents but is amused when his father says something he isn’t supposed to. His mother usually smacks him; he broods and then snatches Grant up and “runs off.” Sadly enough, his mother always finds them playing video games in the den.
16. Ginny still doesn’t remember why she accepted to marry him, but is glad she did. She still teases him, however, about Millicent, whom they had run into in Diagon Alley one day. The woman looked at the pair and glared angrily, before spotting Brianna and Grant and fainting.
17. Everything went excellently between them until Grant was twelve and Brianna was fourteen. Ginny was knocked out and robbed on the way back from Auror Headquarters, supposedly by a relative of an ex-Death Eater whom Ginny had put in Azkaban a week ago. Being left in the rain overnight did her no good. Blaise was out all of those two days searching for her while Brianna and Grant stayed with Ginny’s mother. When he had found her, he immediately took her to the hospital.
18. After a week of careful surveillance and hospitalization, Ginny died of pneumonia. Blaise never remarried and as a dedication to her, changed Grant and Brianna’s surname to ‘Weasley.’ The Aurors that she worked with made up a plaque for her, titling it under ‘excellent service to the organization.’ It’s displayed on the door of the Headquarters and in every room on her floor.
19. Blaise was still upset over the fact that as a Healer, he could not save his wife. He quit from St. Mungo’s a month after her death and spent his time with Grant and Brianna. The two children felt horribly for their father. By the next month, they had convinced him to spend some time at Mrs. Weasley’s home. After time there, Blaise reconstructed a copy of Ginny’s room while she was in school. He had worked on it for a whole year and built a lock onto it, only which he, Grant, and Brianna had. The two children wore the key as a necklace and never took it off.
20. Blaise had never removed his wedding ring either.
