Tears to fall. Hearts stopped. "No!" She screamed. "This isn't happening." Tears fell.

He was dead and she couldn't accept it. There was no way someone as loving and caring and selfless as Blaise Zabini was dead. The saddest part wasn't that, was that he had dropped ill in front of his two-year-old daughter; their two-year-old daughter, who had been screaming for her "daddy" for the past fifteen minutes in the hallway with their grandmother, but Hermione couldn't bring herself to let her little girl know about her father's dead.

"Mummy!" A girl exclaimed. Confused stares. "Is daddy sleeping?" Awkward silence. "I hope." Tears to fall, fell.

"Daddy!" The little girl exclaimed, jumping up onto her father's bed, shaking him. "Daddy..." She said dejectedly, afraid of the lack of movement on her father's part. She collapsed onto his chest.

"Daddy!" She screamed, kicking her feet. Hermione reached to pick her up but she only jumped off of the bed. "Daddy, you can't leave us!" Standing in the door watching sadly was the doctor, alongside Blaise's mother.

"You can't leave me and Mummy here, alone! We love you, Daddy, please don't leave us..." She finished quietly, her voice going hoarse. Tears rained down Hermione's face as she picked her daughter up. Alyrn Zabini walked over to her son, whose eyes were closed painfully. She pushed his hair back and kissed his forehead.

"Oh Blaise." She said, tears in her eyes. Hermione placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Alyrn, you can't help this. He's your son." Alyrn nodded, wiping her tears. She pulled her two-year-old granddaughter from Hermione into her own arms.

"Jen. Don't you dare think this is your fault in anyway. Okay?" The small girl nodded tearfully. "Not at all." Hermione glanced back at the bed sadly, before leaving the room.

--

Hermione sat up in her bed, tears in her eyes.

"You all right?" Blaise asked her softly, wrapping an arm around her. Tears fell to the bed and Hermione shook her head.

"Nightmare." She said, gasping. He kissed her forehead.

"Both you and Jen? Stop crying, Hermione. It'll be okay." And the pair fell asleep next to their daughter. No more tears to fall.
