Frollo's office was almost consistently cold in this weather, even with a constant fire roaring in the grate. It was a bit uncomfortable, but it reminded him of the Palace of Justice in winter, and so whenever it became too bitter to bear he would add another log while the thermostat remained untouched. He didn't understand the device and so refused to use it.
His classes had progressed as normal, but since each was lecture-style, each demanded a great deal of notes. So while he was in his office, you could be sure he was scribbling away -- by quill, of course, he hated those clicking pens with the Academy's name plastered all over them.
