Author's Notes: This fic turned out to be more amusing than I thought it would be. I don't know why, but the drabbles make me laugh everytime I re-read them. ^^; Anyway, please enjoy reading and pardon the crack that I was on while writing the fic. :D

Aye, Aye, Captain

01. Addiction

Shim ChangMin has a thing for perfection - he has to have a perfect score in every single exam he takes, needs to be able to give the right answer every time he recites. And of course, he has to always be on time. Punctuality is a must to be perfect.

But then this certain person named Jung YunHo comes along, and the road that he has so established for him to reach perfection has been shattered. So he now starts from scratch; he’s back to square one.

I’ll be seeing you after class, YunHo tells him, and he simply raises an eyebrow at the newcomer’s statement. That bastard.

But he rushes to the library as soon as he is finished stuffing his things in his bag and pretends to be reading a book when YunHo finally arrives from a scholar’s meeting and offers him a corporate smile.

02. Stars

ChangMin does see YunHo after class, and it surprises him to highest degree possible that first encounters aren’t always awkward and could be quite exciting, especially when supposed serious, business-like talks turn into dismissals spent behind the school van, getting to know each other in the fastest way they could.

Nice meeting you, YunHo tells ChangMin as he straightens his coat and adjusts his tie. ChangMin gives his new-found friend a curt nod and a small smile.

The next time they see each other is in the school’s stock room, and they don’t exactly know how they end up there. Of course, it’s not as if they care.

03. Curse

ChangMin hates rituals and having to grow accustomed to certain things, especially when the said certain thing is something that involves anything other than the physical. He glances at the seat beside him and quickly tears his gaze from the absence of a person, fixing his eyes once more on the board.

You miss me, the message in his mobile phone reads, and he doesn’t reply to message until the class ends and he could escape from the Physics Club meeting that he’s supposed to preside over.

He hides behind the wall near the gate of the school and rests his head on the wall. So what if he does miss YunHo? It’s not as if there’s anything particularly sweet or special about that.

Oh, come on.

04. Want

The next time ChangMin sees YunHo is that same day when he receives the text message, because he just can’t fight the urge to land a nasty punch on YunHo’s face for being the bastard that he is. Of course, he uses the excuse that he’s “bringing the day’s homework to YunHo”, although he is quite certain that people wouldn’t buy that because, for Pete’s sake, they’re in high school already.

Sweetheart, comes YunHo’s greeting as ChangMin places the pile of paper works for the research paper on YunHo’s bedside table, and ChangMin could only raise an eyebrow at YunHo’s welcome. He mumbles something along the lines of “I was just forced to do this, okay”, and he wishes with all his might that YunHo would actually believe what he has just said.

And when YunHo plants a soft kiss on his cheek, ChangMin is convinced that YunHo does not believe him in any way, especially when YunHo pins him down on the bed.

The rest is history.

05. LOL

ChangMin doesn’t come to school the next day, and he grumbles as he shifts uncomfortably beneath his blanket because he loathes being stuck at home. Of course, it’s a break from school, but dear Lord - he doesn’t like being sick. It’s the last thing in the world that he’d want.

Say aaah, YunHo tells him as he parts his lips and sips the soup that YunHo has prepared for him. ChangMin wants to ask how the hell YunHo ended up there and how in the world was YunHo able to convince his mother to let him in the room, but the fever gets the better of him and he slumps into the pillow conveniently placed behind him.

ChangMin grabs YunHo by the wrist and pulls him to his side, causing some of the soup to spill on the blanket. A sound of retort escapes YunHo’s lips and when YunHo asks him the perennial question - Why? - he simply shakes his head and says his infamous line - Bastard.

YunHo chuckles and erupts into a lovely peal of laughter. ChangMin sinks deeper into his pillow and buries his face in his hotdog pillow and hides that smile that has impossibly made its way to his lips.

What? He couldn’t be blamed for all of these, could he? Or could he?

And the only thing that ChangMin could hear is YunHo’s annoyingly wonderful laughter that causes him to bury his face in the pillow all the more.
