Sequence Three: Final Exams
10. Desire
He is cold against your skin - you have grabbed him; where, you don’t really care - and his words are even colder; they make you sick. Don’t move, you tell him, but he tries wriggling free from your grasp. You wouldn’t just give up the fight, though - You’ve come this far, and there’s no way you’re backing out.
So you press your lips on his and don’t let him go, not even when he grips on your arms and you can already feel his fingernails digging deep into your skin.
When you pull away, you let your hands fall to your sides and let him escape, too, because he has just seen YooChun and is now running toward him.
09. High
Your eyes are fixed on him - you observe him from a distance, some few meters from where he is right now, hiding behind the bushes near the school gate - and his name is on your lips, wanting to be said. You call out to him - Junsu yah! - but no sound comes out.
The feel of your vocal chords reverberating travels from your esophagus down to the pits of stomach and back up to your heart.
You take a step back and run away.
08. Thongs
He would imagine all sorts of things with you - playing in sandpits, dance practices and watching adult movies (in secret and with earplugs in your ears because it sounds so much better that way) - and, just the same, you’d imagine all sorts of things with him - his fingers playing with your hair, his hand on your heart and his lips on yours.
You imagine him offering you pretty verses with his tongue tracing every crevice of your mouth, leaving pieces of him inside you just as he promised.
The alarm goes off, and you have to wake up because you’ll be late for school. Again.
07. Cheese
A single burger is meant to be shared between the two of you - that’s what he means, at least, when he gives you the tomato and lettuce because he doesn’t want them and he knows you’ll eat anything. Soon enough, you both realize that you can never share a burger since you are growing boys - your appetite cannot be satisfied by half a burger.
So now he has the burger and the cheese, and the tomato and lettuce, too.
06. Espionage
You spy on him and YooChun that day, a burger on your left hand and your mobile phone on the other. And when you see him rest his head on YooChun’s shoulder, you take a step back, retreat into the shadows and leave.
You take a look back and it’s still there.
