He swears it upon the god he worships - whosoever that god is - Jonghyun is the one to blame.
Jonghyun's started all of these - the sneaking out after practices for some 'alone time', the long drags from a cigarette stick from time to time, the prolonged and shared bath times (which involve more than scrubbing each other's backs sometimes), even the small make-out sessions at 4 a.m. (in which they have to keep track of the time because Kibum wakes up at a little past quarter to five in the morning to make breakfast for Taemin). Jonghyun is always the one to start things.
He's a trouble-maker, after all.
Jonghyun is the one to blame when Jonghyun sneaks an arm around his waist, pulls him close and whispers 'Hyung, I've got something to tell you. Or maybe you have something to tell me.', instead of saying 'You like me, don't you?' and his breath hitches (he forgets to breathe). Jonghyun's normally the straightforward type, the type who'd just kiss you without all the awkward statements hanging in between, the type who wouldn't go to the lengths of muttering yards upon yards of sentences just to drive a point - it's either 'I hate you' or 'I like you'.
Or, maybe, 'I love you.'
(And all the more, Jonghyun is to blame when his voice breaks and he knows he can do something about it but can't because Jonghyun's there to save him and break him again. Jonghyun drives him up against the wall and tells him, "You missed that note before chorus, just before my line," head rested against his, poised to take his breath anytime. His reply is a chuckle and a smile - he's sure Jonghyun can see it despite the lack of proximity (even when things are blurred).
"Now teach me how to do it right."
So he blames Jonghyun when he trips on his own feet while they walk to the van after a performance and doesn't even touch the ground because Jonghyun's so conveniently beside him, ready to pick him up. "I'm a disaster waiting to happen. What will I ever do when you're not around?" Jonghyun shakes his head, smiles, and he makes sure he takes the right steps. But then Jonghyun does that thing he always does - something wicked and magical and troublesome this way always comes. "What will you do?" And Jonghyun never fails (falls).
... but he (fails) falls for a second time.
There's a small rock in the way and Jonghyun
almost trips and falls, if not for Jinki holding his hand.
It wouldn't have been so bad to fall, though.
He's not the only one who will (has).
