HELP!

Ok, peeps, I need a bit of work-related help and advice. I should explain first what I do. I'm Postgraduate Secretary at the Department of Geography at the University of Sheffield. I don't like the term secretary as people assume all I do is type letters and file. While I do do that, I also co-ordinate all admissions, all programmes, marketing ( Read more... )

well, I can help you with a forum and if I have ideas, I could share them ... BUT I CANNOT FRATERNISE WITH THE ENEMY!

I'm not the enemy! Sheffield is Sheffield, right? It doesn't matter which university really.

And, and, if I don't manage to make this sparkly and wonderful then we won't get as many students then I could lose my job AND IT WOULD BE ALL YOUR FAULT. I may even resort to revenge using vooodoo.

you could try doing a facebook group thing with a forum? but yet again, not EVERYONE has facebook :/

I think a Facebook page would be a good place to start. A lot of people have Facebook now and there wouldn't be as many technical things to figure out as building an entire forum.

You could also have an interview with someone from the department or a recent Graduate... This might be 'dry' as well but it could also be interesting if the topic is right.
