Hi everyone!

One of my story ideas for this year's Nano features a disabled MC.
I'm not sure whether I'm going to concentrate on that story yet, but if I don't do it for Nano, I'll certainly do it sometime soon.

I'm disabled too, so any questions about mobility and fibromyalgia and I'll be happy to help!

That's good to know! Maybe we should do a listing of our 'areas of expertise'? ;-) As for me, I could hopefully answer questions on spina bifida, chondromalacia, lactose intolerance and mild deperession. Boy, did that sound depressing.... ;-þ

Heh, well a full list of knowledges (only of disability related stuff) would be:

Fibromyalgia, arthritis, rheumatism, heart attacks, angina, heart failure, collapsed lung, major surgery (lung and heart), depression, bipolar, nervous breakdown, hopitals (waaay too much!), Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Neurological disorders, diabetes, hypermobile joints, blindness, partial sight, hearing problems, spinal chord injuries, IBS, inflamatory bowel disorder, stomach ulcers, suicide attempts, umm.... and probably tons more I'd think of if I really thought about it.

Not all those are me personally, my Dad and my Mum take some of those.

If we add friends and family in the mix (and I must admit I never looked beyond my own diagnoses here - I do know about some other conditions even though I don't have them), we get interesting stuff like SLE/Reynaud's Syndrome, amputations, splenectomy, Arnold Chiari II, eosinofilic fasciitis and PCOS. And of course a whole range of injuries/illnesses/disabilities in the CNS. And that's all I can come up with at the moment. Speaking of coming up with stuff, I should return to my novel. ;-)

Oh I also do myoprolerific disorders, lymphatic problems, reynauds type things.

Gah...

Maybe we should just let people ask and answer if we know?
