That's gorgeous! Checked out the larger and closeup versions on your site - the dark circles under his eyes are amazing. This is HBP Draco, yes?

Hope your aching arm gets better soon! I know what it's like myself; massage is the only thing I've found that helps. :~)

Post-HBP certainly :) Hopefully, he looks a little older than my first Draco painting. I've done something a little different with colours and blending this time 'round and I've been wanting to do a tutorial for Painter - so this was also a little experiment in a way :) Maybe I went a wee bit overboard with the freckles :p But I'm relatively happy with the skintone.

Yes, I did have to massage it, it got really painful at a certain point, and I rubbed some stinky salve on it, then bandaged it. It's fine for now, but after a spend a few hours doodling with the pen on tablet, the pain comes back a little. Had this problem so many times before *sniffle* I just have to watch out that I don't spend countless hours painting non-stop.

Holy hell, I kind of want to join the dark-side now...or at least shag it for a while...

Brilliant, as usual! Draco would have only awful things to say about it, but that's just his way.

I think Draco would certainly hate being depicted as a sleep-deprived not-yet Inner Circle DE :p

Thankies for the comment :)

I've said it before and I'll say it once again - once I get my book published and have a website for it, I'm totally commissioning work from you. Your stuff is beyond imagination and utterly visionary. It screams "fantasy" to me with a remarkable mix of innocence and sensuality. I really, truly just love the life, color, and realism you breathe into the characters you've portrayed and created.

If anything, I have a whole new desire and drive to get my work published. If not for my own satisfaction, than in the vain hope that talented artists like yourself would help to further bring it to life.

Sorry if that came off as shameless self-promotion. I did mean it as a compliment to you more than anything. I'll just cut myself off now by saying I think your work is wonderful and I hope to someday create something that would be worthy of having your style and skill used to bring that vision to life.

Regards -
Courtney

Hee, thanks :) I only really worked on his face and hands and the Regency coat was just something I added because it looks 'smexy'. Unfortunately, I didn't work on the coat for long, so it's kinda like window dressing :p

I've had problems with my right shoulder and wrist for quite some time now, and the pain comes and goes, it's because I tend to paint for hours on end without doing the proper excercise :/ I was working on 4 different paintings and sketches and that's when my arm went totally kaputt ;_; I hate not being able to paint for a whole week, especially when I'm inspired to.

He's beautiful. Really striking eyes and I adore his expression. He looks kind of lost, and very pretty about it, too

I kinda did something new with the eyes and overall skin, just some experimenting with colours, trying to get Draco's skintone. He looked very demure in my first painting of him and I really wanted to depict a post-HBP Draco :)

Wonderful, I love to see Draco's that are not Tom.

His expression is perfect. Our boy's growing up. *sniff*

And hopefully *still* there by the end of Book 7 :/

And I never even think of Tom Felton when I read the books or paint him, and that goes for every HP character I've painted so far. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I even like any of the HP actors, 'cept maybe Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith and David Tennant (golly, he's so damn sexy!). Eh, anyways, thanks for the comment :)

Have you done any Lucius?

Nope, but when I paint Draco I'm reminded of how much I dislike painting blondes -_-; I spent hours on my first Draco painting trying to get the hair colour right, same goes for this Draco art. I'm a little hesitant about painting Lucius for that reason alone. But it could be interesting to paint an older and more sinister version of the Malfoy patriarch *ponders*

But I think one day I'll try and attempt to do the majority of HP characters. But I dunno 'bout the Weasleys, though... 'cept maybe for Bill and Charlie, I just don't really like 'em ^^;
