Practice, and lots of it. As for creating the painting, I used Painter and later Photoshop. If you take a closer look at the hands, the texture is different on both; one hand was done in Painter, the other one in Photoshop, when I decided to make a full-length piece rather than stick with the top half I'd already done in Painter.

Wow the new layout is so elegant. As for the pic, the detail is lovely, I like the dark, wispy, clouds in the background that make the dark mark. :)

Thanks :) I wanted the dark mark to look different; I really liked the one in the GoF movie, but I wanted mine to be less of a presence in the background. As for the site, thanks for visiting. You 'get' the theme, right? Right?

Thanks XD Yep, it's a Final Fantasy theme and since Annette and I absolutely loved FF8 and we were on version 8 of Disanthus, it really fell into place ^_^ As for the logo, I'm still amazed at the tools available in Painter IX - the logo was created with the Pen tool, such an amazing little thing :D
