A sirius update ^_^ heheh

Today, Annette and I have uploaded v.6 of Disanthus. There are some stuff you should know: our downloads site (Anata) was no longer being updated, so we've put the wallpapers back in the main site. The current version of Disanthus is actually called Anata, sort of a tribute to the dead one :p You can find our wallpapers in the Courtyard section of

Argh! Despite all your woes in Painter and Photoshop the result is drop dead gorgeous! The way you've done the mist on the water looks SO beautiful! And the detail is amazing! All those little leaves!!

Whee, the first comment ^^ I guess it was the whole process of painting the majority of the BG in Photoshop that really got me frustrated. I don't like it when certain things slow me down. Plus, I found that Photoshop was really useless for painting (for me, anyway) so I had to paint stuff in Painter, as well, knowing that it might break down at any moment! I guess this will be the last 'complicated' and large painting I'll do, at least until I can get the money for Painter IX *sigh*

I've done buggerall painting in Painter because of memory issues with my comp - it would crash every time. *sigh* Hissed and spat about it for a while but have been puddling in Photoshop ever since, and now it's what I know. ;~P I've had a bit of a go at Open Canvas but feel like I have MUCH more control in Photoshop. (but that's probably just lack of knowhow)

GAH, your Sirius is so beautiful it makes me want to weep. The subtle light, the way there seems to be real movement with the trees...just beautiful.

Mmm-hmm, you have a lovely website. I'm an art Niffler for FictionAlley, and I was so disappointed when I saw one of your Sirius works had already been Niffled, but ah, oh well. He's my favourite character and you truly do justice to him. Very pretty. :)

Thanks, I'm doing my best, though I haven't yet painted the 'perfect' Sirius, though my first painting (the 7th year Portrait) came as close to the Sirius I had in mind. This second Sirius painting shows more softness in his face, though I'm not entirely sure if that was a good thing :/ But it's good to know that he's pleasing to look at, nonetheless ^^
