Hmm, did you read that story (can't remember who wrote it), where Harry lost a bet or something and they made him wear a skirt and then it was all force feminization/sexy shaming dubcon? (I think they were playing poker?)

Maybe I'd write something like that, where Harry loses a bet and has to dress in drag all day (while they're at the studio, so they're together but no one is taking pictures) and they all tease him and Harry is just all Harryish, with the belated, "... hey"'s and the cheeky, "I think I look quite pretty." and really just handles it quite well and then Nick comes to meet him at the studio and they step somewhere quite for a break and Nick makes some comment -- which isn't even as bad as the stuff the other guys have been saying all day long -- but Harry gets all flushed and squirmy and then Nick fucks Harry in the bathrooms with Harry's skirt pushed up against his waist

how about college AU? which also leads me to this question: in your headcanon, do you think the dynamic would be the same if they all met in college instead of on the xfactor? like it's hard to imagine a world where harry and louis are not drawn to each other, but harry and liam? i feel like the extent of their relationship would begin and end with harry constantly asking to borrow a pen and forgetting to give it back.

The only story I've written was technically a college AU, so... that way! hahaha. Which is to say, I am obsessed with college aus and also want to write one where Harry is a law student (which he's said before he would do if he weren't in the band) and then I'm a bit torn about which pairing I want to happen. OR, I really would love to read a lot about Niall being in a frat house and having a boyfriend -- possibly Harry. Why do I always want established relationship fic? I don't even know. I feel like that would be one of those stories that has no plot except to show Niall, total frat bro, and Harry, golden child around campus, being the most unexpectedly adorable and mfeo couple. Conflict? There would be no conflict! Only boyfriends

I WOULD NEVER WRITE ABOUT THEM GETTING A BABY, OH MY GODDDDDDDDD, WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME? I think Rachel's got me warped into thinking that Louis looking after babies is cute (see: that 20k kidfic of doom) and I think that Zayn looks cute with bb!Lux in the airport pictures, so I guesssssssss I would have Louis and Zayn look after the baby, but then what, I don't know, somehow they get rid of the baby and have sex?

Could they get a cat instead of a baby?

okay so, I wanna know how you would write a Nick/Harry high school au. HOW, LAURA.

Can I bump them into college instead? Because otherwise you can't make the age difference work, and I do love Nick as Harry's elderly gentleman friend. And then I would write the backstory of that west coast au I wrote, where Harry becomes friends with Nick, campus radio station manager, when he's volunteering at the radio station, and Harry's already slept with Professor Caroline Flack and also half of the other women on campus but for some reason he likes sitting in the studio while Nick puts on the late late show, even though Harry's volunteer shift was over hours ago. And then they party and get drunk and dance and Harry kisses Nick and, you know, all the rest of how I said that went. I just like the idea of Harry in that verse, who always manages to get what he wants, actually having to sort out what he does and doesn't want. And Nick's voice in the dark being this safe place to sort through it all.

Oh wow, Laura, I would super super read this, if you were ever to write it. I always love the idea of people struggling with the things they want, whether they get them or not, and the age gap would work perfectly here.
