A Very Cold Morning

So, I woke up this morning and realized as one does that it was a bit chilly and I needed a bath before getting dressed. Went to turn on hot water, now lately because our pump is going out (and no one will replace it until after January 4th, so sorry it is the holidays says the plumber) we often don't have much water. Except in the hot water tank

Thank goodness the oil arrived, and I hope the Lizard gets it going before he leaves. And I certainly hope that the pump is fixed on the fourth and no later!

Got up, had breakfast, took in-laws to Chawton to see Jane Austen's house, had lunch in local pub, drove to Salisbury, looked at Cathedral (inc Magna Carta), did shopping, drove home, made salmon dish for dinner...

Well, today I got the Christmas tree, as graylion was still feeling poorly after stomach trouble. Then we discovered that the Christmas ornaments and the Christmas tree stand were nowhere to be found. The advantage of buying such things the day before Christmas is that they're on sale. We even found a gothy glass globe with black lace and feathers...
