Well, DH and I decided to celebrate 15 years of marriage by getting a barn kitten or two. We talked it over and decided we would rather have some new barn kitties than a nice dinner out. Cost would probably be about the same (for the starters and such) and we might have the cats at our 30th anniversary, where as we could eat a nice meal at home (

No, he's not good with new events, but he was fine with most of our older cats. It was Piggy that took much longer to accept "visits," and it was also Piggy who had the amazing outside all night adventure. I found him in the morning, plastered to a window sill in the small conservatory. The Dogs were barking at him and he didn't know they could not get him from where he was, because he could not see the wall that kept them from where he was. So, he probably was there all night, I managed to call him up to me and he raced into the house and has not gone near the front door sense. I was never letting them out on purpose anyway, but had been turning a blind eye to occasional summer escapes because I wanted both boys to know what doors and windows are. I lost Princess because she didn't and when she got out she starved for a month hiding in the yard; until Etienne found her. But, by then, it was too late, so all house cats now get lessons on doors and outside, though I try to keep them in most of the time
