DENTONASTIC

I had to deal with this impossibly shitty work week(in short, this one girl wanted more hours so she had our district manager COMPLETELY re-do our schedule. I almost didn't even get to go on this damn trip), so I was STOKED.

Julia and I got. Shit. Taken. Care of. on Saturday morning. We ran about a billion errands, then we embarked on the fastest 3-hour road trip ever. CZECH STOP GIMME PLZ -- an innocent bakery that sells downright sexual food. I am craving a damn puff from that place so hard right now. When we got to Denton, we killed some time(shopping) before going to some guy's house for a kegger. No one told me that High Life out of a keg tastes better than anything in the world. I wasn't prepared. I drank more beer than I ever have in my life and had a great time with cool people. I left too many drunk voice mails, and my phone died to punish me for it.

The next morning, I awoke to Nic's roommate cooking something that smelled like home. She asked me if I was hungry and even though I was thinking "Yes make me something delicious you little Asian fairy of goodness," I just politely declined because Ray wanted to take us out. I got a little bit of a tour of Denton, bomb cheese fries, and then we drove to Dallas to see

WEST SIDE STORY! It was a community college summer troupe so, okay, it wasn't incredible -- but it was incredible! And the whole time Ray was playing the music to it, what a crazy crazy thought. Bleh I don't know how many of you know this but I loooove that movie. I almost cried UNTIL SOME BITCH'S CELL PHONE WENT OFF.

ENTER BEST FRIEND! There was a glorious reunion. We drank cheap wine and beer, and smoked a whole bunch. Whataburger at an unreasonable hour, gravy all over the coffee table. Woke up after only a few hours to go to

SIX FLAGS. I CONQUERED. I fucking LOVE roller coasters. I almost didn't ride Mr. Freeze... but it was by far my favorite coaster. Down right euphoric. The TITAN actually made me cry when we rode it the third and final time, that drop just fucking squeezed my eyes out. We didn't get the old-timey picture we intended but... I suppose that's a reason to go back.

Very sadly, this morning came. I woke up at 7 to get shit together, was on the road by 8 and only BARELY made it to Jamba in time for work at noon. Where I find out that I suddenly have to work on July 4, which I previously had off, instead of going to the EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY CONCERT at fucking Stubbs. Fuck me. The 8 hour shift was BLEH except that Miranda is a funny, funny girl.

THE END. But, seriously, I might move to Denton. Why not? I don't feel like I'm going anywhere here in Austin. And north Texas is fucking beautiful country.
