...Fasterlouder's new WA editor. We don't really have that much in the way of separate state editions, so that's where I come in. There is only a handful of WA contributors chipping in right now, so I am looking to assemble a team pretty much from scratch. So if you know stuff about bands and can put an article together, sign yourself up. You don't ( Read more... )

Are you doing anything for the opening game tonight? I think I'm going to the gig at Amps and then the Germany game later on...

Sign up for an account and we'll go from there. I'm assembling my team atm... once I have a good list of writers and photographers I will be delegating gig opportunities.

The majority of CD reviews are organised through the national list, so in the WA section it will mainly be gig reviews, local releases and band interviews.

If there's something you want to do, you're best to run it by me first. If you're doing it through FL (ie getting free tickets or CDs) then it's all pretty organised. If you just do it yourself then just write it up and send it through.

I'm interested in being a fasterlouder writer! That is a lie, I am vicariously interested in writing, through freebies.

You so wasted $10 on the US odds, no matter how appealing they are, though hopefully they will shit all over the Italians. I haven't decided what I'm gonna do tonight, but a bunch of friends are meeting up to watch and heavily booze it up. And of course then Saturday for the England game, and Monday for the Aussie and Czech games, and so on for an awesome month.

121/1 is great for a top-5 ranked side that reached the QFs last time. The Ivory Coast could even sneak through.

Shannan and me are gonna be at amps earlier on and then finding a big screen plus beer for the Germany game. Join us!

If the US wins I will buy you beer for a year. Though in the event they do, this comment will mysteriously dissapear soon after, haha. What time are you guys heading to Amps, that's much more convenient than heading out to Padbury.

I've got drinks after work tonight, which I'll probably stay at til about 8.30. Malcolm Sleepy Jackson's new band are on early at amps so I'll be there for that... and then til 11 or 11.30 (after New Rules) when we go and find somewhere with a big screen

Because they peaked five years ago, not to mention their tough draw.

Their current squad/generation/whatever reached its peak at the last World Cup ands now they're pretty much a spent force.
