Dear Mrs. Malfoy, or do you still prefer that I call you Narcissa?,

I am relieved to hear that you are doing well. Nearly everything is positively lovely. Draco remains ever hostile towards me. I am not sure why. I suspect that it has something to do with his Gryffindor girlfriend, Parvati Patil. While their family is pure of blood, they rank with the Weasleys in class and associations. I recommend that you order dear Draco to halt in his romancing of the girl before it is too late, and his wonderful reputation is ruined. Of course, it is your decision that is important in the end, and these are mere suggestions. I realise that you and Mr. Malfoy are disappointed in his choice of actions so far, and can only hope that one day Draco will see the light. He ignores my urging, and rather, becomes increasingly crude to my person. I certainly hope that this will someday cease, and can only imagine that it is a result of the Patil girl's influences.

I am shocked and appalled to hear that his owl is dead! Why he would blame the death on me, I have no idea. It is baffling. By the way, your shoes were beautiful at lunch last weekend; someday I hope to be an accomplished fashion icon like yourself.

Continuing with my earlier train of thought, I have the perfect idea for Draco's new pet. I keep hearing him mention ferrets, white ferrets. Remember in fourth year, when he was transfigured into one? Despite his rage and humiliation over it at the present time, I think he has actually developed an affinity for the creatures. Perhaps a nice pure white ferret would be just the thing he needs to distract himself from that Parvati. She will most certainly be the end of our dear boy if their relationship continues as it has.

Signed,
Bridgette Dorny
