Imagine that you order something online and are forced to pay and extra $15.00 to have your order shipped via UPS. (You're not given another choice when you order.) They send you a tracking number for UPS, only it's not a UPS number, it's a USPS number. You find this out when you try to actually track your package through UPS and their site says

It seems that thanks to the wonders of governmental interference and it's inability to understand that "privatized business" means that you stop supporting it with tax dollars the Postal Service is able to offer package delivery cheaper than either UPS or FedEx can deliver it.
So, UPS has started shipping some of it's packages via USPS:

It's bad news, but basically if a package can be shipped via USPS at a lower cost than UPS can do it, UPS will ship it via USPS to save funds.
