I'm taking a friend to Hot Doug's for lunch today. There are several things on the specials menu that look delicious to me, so please help me decide

Calvados-Infused Smoked Duck Sausage with Chili-Garlic Mayonnaise and St. Pete's Blue Cheese drizzled with Honey

I do want everything! There were actually more choices on their specials page but these were the ones that caught my eye. I suppose I'll just have to see what comes out of my mouth when I step up to the counter to order.

I ended up trying two of the specials: the linguica and the citrus-burgundy pork. They were both delish but the linguica was a bit better. My friend had a ribeye sausage and she liked it.

If I were ever there when it wasn't busy (perhaps at opening or closing), I would love to ask Doug if he ever let people have birthday parties there. Wouldn't it be great?

I was JUST thinking that a sampler platter would be a good thing. Often I end up ordering two because I just can't decide.
