This isn't lack of courtesy from Caspian. Once I was taken from the City and there was letter I could write or farewell message I could leave behind. We were suddenly brought and abruptly taken.
If he were to know he was about to depart, Caspian would have bid us well. I know he would!
It is lack of courtesy, my boy, to make no provisions. You must leave even now a notice of farewell, and entrust it with another, so that he may speak for you, if ever should you leave. That is etiquette.
That's true as well. I have ready irises and letters for all my friends after that experience, even those long gone. If he returns, and I hope he wouldn't be taken again here when his kingdom needs his guidance to bloom in beauty and wealth, he would make amends.
