Ugh. I was hoping to have all my Christmas stuff done days in advance so that by the time Christmas rolled around I’d be able to sit down and enjoy the holiday. With Ruth being sick over the last few days I’ve fallen way behind schedule ( Read more... )

My msn name is "Eff you baby Jesus" because I am starting to hate the holidays :P It's easy to say relax and don't worry about the small stuff (like no one is going to notice if you're house isn't spotless and your cats don't know it's Christmas) but I'm sure you'll worry about it anyway, because we all do. If I didn't have enough stuff to do I'd bake you some cookies or make cat toys, but well maybe it's important to do things yourself. I think the holidays are harder on people with families.

I'm going shopping over lunch. The boys are getting store bought hats :(

Well I'm already postponing things on my to do list. Cleaning is one of them! I'm thisclose to finishing the sweater, and I'm dying to get it out of the way with.

Thanks for saying you'd help with the baking, and the cat toys. The cat toys won't take very long, and I really want to bake because I love decorating cookies and using my cookie cutters.

It's not the end of the world - they probably wouldn't understand all the hard work you put into the hats anyway!

Oh for sure I know they won't care, but I was excited about learning how to do mittens.

I am so sorry that you had to go through the pee bag thing. It's almost as hard on mama as the little one. I hope she's better quick. Hang in there!

The pee bag is nothing really, when she was in the hospital she had to have a cather a few times. That was horrible!

She seems a lot better today - she kept going to the fridge, freaking out until I gave her something else to eat!

Awww I hope Rutti feels better by the time Santa comes! I haven't even started any holiday baking. Yikes!

Thanks!

I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't just give up on the baking. I had great plans to make sugar cookies, and gingerbread, and macaroons and spice cookies but now that I think about it, who's going to eat all these cookies? That's right, ME! Maybe I'll pick up a bag of oreos for santa!
