So in a spectacular show of being productive by doing something that I shouldn't be when I should be working on a term project...

1. Comment to this post with "I surrender!" and I'll assign you the basis of some TV show idea. (Science fiction show, medical drama, criminal procedure, etc...)
2. Create a cast of characters, including the actors who'd ( Read more... )

Enjoy (giving prompts is HARD)

In a city like London but without all the trademarks, a protagonist with a gender that is often mistaken tries to find the true route to what might possibly be the desire to a person's wish.

Who are the contenders and the mysterious man known only by a wide brimmed top hat and what are the dangers?

Includes a supporting cast each with a motif: music/clothes/naming convention etc.

I would totally watch your show.

And, while I probably won't get to it right away because I'm 20 minutes away from heading to Tokyo for the weekend, I surrender!

I love the concept I was given :D
Have fun in Tokyo! let me see...

For whatever reason, a person can travel in dreams, he/she meets many people from different time periods but there is one constant and it is unknown what his background is. As the clock ticks, is he/she trying to wake or is there some other goal..?

This show is noted for it's surreal musical performances as part of the narrative and features a showstopping Busby Berkeley Number

It's like Dr. Who with... er, more supernatural themes? Much approval of sexual orientation variety, ethnic casting variety, and geek acceptance variety 8D.

Epileptic Tree Theory: Terence is a ghost sharing Thomas's body!!
... I read that last word as 'bed'.
*bricked*

Haha except without the time travelling - just old pieces of history coming to life and possibly skewering the time line or something. I didn't quite work out that bit. Hurr, you hit my Author Appeals although IDK about geek acceptance.

..Well the perversion potential is definitely there...

Well, I don't know any name of any museum out there. 8D Really. Maybe just the British History Museum or something like that, but that was because our biology teacher said it was really really good and there was a lot of dead stuffed things and things from Darwin's voyages, etc.

That's how we screwed up at trivia night once - our table argued over if the Louvre was a museum or a gallery, yelled a bit more, and decided that the answer couldn't be the Louvre, and got told that we got the right answer and changed it into something wrong.
[/we suck!/there are no history geeks here. D:]

... I'm still wondering how living person + ghost = 'ship. Because, um, that is pretty cool, in a more morbid Dead Like Me way.

LOL the museums I listed up there are actually a group on the Capitoline Hill in Rome, Italy. :DDDD

Obviously you should go study history!!

As for shipping, of course it is! It just depends on how the mechanics of how the supernatural work in the canon. :P

Oh my lord. This is particularly epic. The feeling is (kill me now) much like Lost, except stuff actually makes more sense, the characters do go better together, and all in all I don't get a sense of directors mindfucking the audience which cheap ploys, which I hate. It seems to be a full embrace of magical realism. Me likey.

I surrender, god help me.

I spent forever deciding on actors and I'm so glad I added Faye Wong into the cast. I'm going to do a "Directors Cut" shit sometime this weekend if I have time. Ah..but is it magical realism if it's inherent in the world?

Hurr I'm so glad people actually like this because I'm like "BUT IT'S SO VAGUEEEEEE"

Anyways for you (I suck at prompts):

A murder mystery! In a world where such beings are granted free-will, a deceased doctor's domestic (android/chobit/robot etc)butler/maid/housekeeper/etc decides to investigate on the death of his/her employer by teaming up with an ex-student of the doctor. What is the outcome of this case and what secrets/enemies do they unravel?

The show incoporates a leitmotif on Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata 2nd movement and a completely classical soundtrack.

Ho boy. So I thought I might actually have to give it up because for a while I couldn't think of ANYTHING at all.

And then one night, at 4 AM (last night really) I got an idea.

I think I can do this :)
