The hollow and deafening sound of the great rusted door that kept the warehouse cut off from the outside world called into the dark building as Ice slid it open. Particles of iron oxide dusted down from above, leaving a light sprinkle of blood red on Ice's shoulder as he walked forward, beckoning the young vampire lad that was behind him to follow. The height difference was almost comical as the their shadows stretched into the building. Ice towered over him, looking like a great statue more so than a man...
The door was slid shut once more, locked and sealed from outside forces. None had followed them...and none but the creatures were close enough to even hear the door move at all. The darkness did not last, at least...soon candlelight became apparent. It flickered slightly, a breeze moving through the expansive building and casting its solemn howl, but the light revealed another figure in the room.
"That...is Lord Dio. When you address him, speak only when spoken too. Be as formal as you can, and do not raise your voice against him. He is a just and good man...but his punishment is swift for those who lack respect," Ice warned Subaru, a hint of concern in his voice. Subaru was different from his brother, after all...he lacked the spirit that drew Ice to confront him. He was almost innocent, really...
"Go...and present to him the agreement. I will confirm your words.'
