The rainbow sword was something Anya found to be quite fascinating. She'd never seen such a weapon on Earth or in Discedo.

So when Gakupo began singing, Anya trained her camera on that rather than his face and snapped a picture. The combination of English and Japanese was unusual, but not her focus.

He wasn't fazed by a simple camera! Nope! He even posed for her, taking out his fan for added effect.

Excellent! Anya paused, and then took out the city's communication device. This would make a good entry to share with the network.

Gakupo saw where she was looking at. Would she actually do it?

Japan was an eager fan, indeed! It wasn't just in Gakupo's mind. From the moment he had seen that shamisen, he had grown excited, so this moment was enough to take him away from Discedo a moment to enjoy something from back home. How nice...

"Uwah, amazing! Gakupo-san is truly talented!" Talented... as an android. Well, still.

Gakupo gave a bow when he was done. Ah, the applause! The attention! It was reactions like this that made his career work all the labor he put into it.

"Thank you! Thank you~!" Such a bright grin he had! He went to sit at the kotatsu table with a sigh. "It feels great to sing again! Not that it has been a while, but less than twice a week is too long for me!"

Looking absolutely elated, Japan lowered his hands. "It would truly be a shame for Gakupo-san not to be able to do such a thing... Ahh, I am certain if he ever wished to perform, many in the city would be interested to hear."

There's a soft smile as he calms down a bit. "It reminds me of home, even if I do not recognize the song."

"...do you think so?" Gakupo hummed in thought. "I'm still quite new. Maybe once I can get around without a map, I'll think on that more!" He chuckled, because he did stick out more with a map than his hair.

"You often speak of home, but I'm not sure what it's like for you. Are you from a more modern period?"

In the room next over, you can clearly hear Karkat kick the wall and scream "SHUT THE FUCK UP." But he is not in the room because putting him and America together would be sheer madness of proportions that can't be articulated. Besides, Gamzee went to go investigate. Anything worth Gamzee's time is something that Karkat would avoid like the plague.

Now back to America.

Now that he's been all healed up by Kresnik, he sneaks downstairs for a bit when he hears music coming from below. Like Gamzee, he pops his head in to see what all the hubabaloo is about. Spotting the troll, he then waves. You know what? Waving to the whole fucking room. Why not.

"Sup guys! What's happenin'?"
