[ there was still something strange altogether about the idea of yuno being here; like it was some sort of hallucination or dream rather than something real, maybe something he had dreamed up out of his longing for her and the pain of his failure, even with his friends here. he wouldn't be surprised, considering he had dreamed things up more often that turned out to be not-so-quite fake, right

[ there's a difference between seeing and speaking to someone through a feed rather than right in front of you- it's not real. a person usually determines whether or not something is real by a number of sensory functions- sight was the easiest to believe, but also the most fallible.

which is probably why yuno wasted no time in dropping the katana in her hands aside and throwing her arms around yukki- the ability to hold something was a satisfactory proof, as far as she was concerned. not that she ever doubted- she'd be able to discern within a moment whether or not it was yukki, she was certain. there's a sound of happiness from her when she hugs yukki- almost like a giggle; she doesn't pull away immediately, either.

when she does, she still can't let go entirely- she laces her fingers between yukki's with a smile. it's evident she's happy- excited, even. ]

Yukki! Yukki, I'm so glad! [ glad that he's here, glad that he's okay- glad that she's with him again. ]

[ he doesn't seem to mind either way, no matter how long she lingers in the hug he doesn't even try to move or pull away, instead just enjoying the moment even when she moves away a little and intertwines their fingers instead. it's then, and with the sound of her voice, that a smile slowly breaks out on his face. at first there's almost something slightly pathetic about it, slightly broken, but it quickly moves on to become a full and genuine kind of smile. ]

Yeah, me too. [ if someone would have told him months ago back home that he would ever feel like this, just this happy to see her again, to be close to her, he would have laughed bitterly at the thought, but now.. now it just seems like the thing he wants most in the world, just to see her again even after everything that happened. he leans over to her a little to bump their foreheads together slightly, and he feels close to crying, really, his eyes watering up a little

[ it's sort of a rare thing- a new thing, even..being given this much affection from yukki. she's not opposed to it at all- thought it makes her wonder if something had happened. irregardless, he was okay; he'd continue to be okay too, since she would be here to protect him from hereon out. from the physical contact, his words, and just being able to be with him again, she can feel her own eyes welling up with tears when she speaks next- simply because she's just so happy. ]

Yukki...you- [ she never expected him to ever seriously come to like her- she was always fine with just being used, but... ]

S-Sorry. [ she momentarily wipes her eyes with the back of her hand, blushing profusely with a smile as she responds honestly to what he had said to drive her to this point- ] Me too! I was worried something might have happened when I couldn't find you.
