I gave Monty his first bath! Yay! I was surprised at how well it went, actually. I made sure that there was a warm bath set up and that I had a small saucepan for quickly pouring water over him for rinsing. He was fussy once he realized that I was holding him in the bathroom with a drawn bath and a closed door, but he didn't try to scratch me at

As you can see, I have a serious shopping problem. I hesitate and hesitate and hesitate and then it gets overwhelming and I spend gobs of money.

This is good information. I'm totally lost when it comes to litter.

I've read bad things about the auto-raking litterboxes, because the motor breaks pretty easily. The two automatic litterboxes that seem to have good reviews are the Litter Robot (it looks like a diving helmet and it rotates!) and the Cat Genie (It hooks up to the water supply and washes the litter away!). They are super expensive, though, and I'd love to see one in action before I commit.

Also, you are right, Monty does tend to be skittish... but an automatic litterbox would give Monty some more regularity and me the freedom to have an overnight trip or something like that. I don't want to have to take Monty to a kennel if I can help it. Also, Monty seems to have adopted Yoyo & Bobo's propensity for digging, so I'd prefer that the litter was a bit more contained.
