I love dancing to upbeat foreign songs. Words don't really matter much for the language of music is universal. Just dancing to Iranian music and eating Iranian foods at my friend's home really enrich my college experience. To have this kind of experience is just so awesome and unforgettable ( Read more... )

There's something lacking when listening to foreign tunes. It's like trying to appreciate a movie when someone is deaf or blind. Not catching the meaning of the lyrics is a little like that.

I feel that way everytime I listen to Ayumi Hamasaki or Do as Infinity. Oh, and Mika Nakashima is hot.

why don't you learn some foreign languages then... only some of them are boring.. well actually it's the teachers who are boring...

I think that one can apreciate music solely from a musical perspective. If you can understand the lyrics, it adds another dimension to the experience, but one doesn't suffer simply by not experiencing that dimension too.

Although, I was a musician for about 20 yrs, so I may be predisposed toward seeing music as music sans lyrics.
