General Kaidoh hissed in agitation, his large eyes staring up at the Lord Chancellor Inui with equal parts anger, and hurt, and dismay. His hands twitched for his weapon in vain, but secretly, in his heart of hearts, Kaidoh himself knew that even if his weapon was at hand, he could never, NEVER hurt the Lord Chancellor Inui.
'There there, Kaidoh,' said the Lord Chancellor soothingly. 'I just thought you would look really cute with a new hairstyle. You've been hiding all that lovely hair under that old hair cloth since forever. See how pretty you look now!' His hand came up and knocked gently on the solid congealed mass on Kaidoh's head.
The Lord Chancellor Inui (who was also the part-time mad inventor, healer, and herbalist of Princess Tezuka's court) was actually rather proud of his latest invention. He had combined the most noxious herbs and aloe slime to create a product that went on as slime, and quickly dried into a solid rock-hard state. He was looking around for a test subject, and found General Kaidoh, serendipitously napping under a tree. He'd looked so adorable, so... helpless and vulnerable, that Inui was quite unable to resist.
So he applied the stuff to Kaidoh's hair, and since he had some time to spare, fashioned the beslimed hair into an ADORABLE little cobra hood for his own little pet snake General.
'FUSHUUUUUU' hissed the General again, his eyes starting to redden, and a suspicious wetness started to form.
How adorable, thought the Lord Chancellor Inui. Now he looks even more like my own little pet snake.
