Yes, I'm pretty sure that your oboe is of the male gender, though not exactly why I think that.
I think you should think of a good masculine name for your oboe since you know him best.
However, there is always the distinct possibility that your oboe could be gay (hey, I'm sure it could happen) so you might want to take that into consideration when choosing a good name that suits his personality. Because I'm sure your oboe has a personality too, lol
Please note: I refer to my flute as gender-neutral with out a name, I prefer not to tie it down to a single identity - so that is an option too.
I love how my most lengthy response to a LJ post is about the name of an oboe, tsk tsk
alright- i'm not sure about your reasoning behind my oboe being male, but...i'll have to look at it's behavior and determine its gender officially
also, yes, he/she could be of the homosexual nature, i'll also take that into account as i analyze the male or female behavior, though it still could be misleading
maybe i'll just name it a nuetral name, like pat or sam...even tho i don't really like any of those names ah, well your opinions were very helpful my dear kristen
If you ever call him t-doggy dog again, then we are no longer friends, heh.
I've been trying to think of a name for my car, we should buy one of those big books of names that tell you what ever name means and such. I just realized the words "mean" and "name" have the same letters. Wow I'm a loser.

And sorry Etienne: I know that it is your job to "state the obvious," but you were a little slow on this one.
