There is actually a well-done tutorial out there (with screenshots and everything!), but I cannot find the link asl;lkjdf. So until then, here is a very stripped-down version :D

1.) Go to Settings > Preferences
2.) In the vertical menu on the left-hand side:
-expand Video
-select Output modules (should be the second option down)
-check the box for Advanced Options (lower corner)
3.) This should bring up something like 'Video output module' with a dropdown menu next to it. Select Image Video Output.
4.) Back in the vertical menu:
-expand Output modules
-select Image File
5.) You're now presented with a set of options to choose file format, recording ratio, and filename prefix.
-check .png or .jpg or whatever file format you want
-I set the recording ratio at 15. That's about 1,000 caps per 40-minute episode.
-the filename prefix you want, e.g. 410- is the prefix I used for this episode. Be sure to keep the hyphen in!!!
6.) Click SAVE.

And you're done!!

Things to watch for:
1.) The screencaps will not show up in the directory where ( ... )
